Wolves: manager Glenn
Hoddle will be without Jackie McNamara for the clash with Burnley.
Full-back McNamara had been expected to return from a knee injury for the
clash with Crewe in midweek but sat out as his side cruised to a 4-0
victory.
Midfielder Colin Cameron shook off a knock he picked up in training to play
in that game and is expected to keep his place.
Veteran midfielders Darren Anderton and Paul Ince are both making good
progress on respective shin and thigh problems but are a long way from a
comeback.
Burnley: boss Steve
Cotterill is sweating on the fitness of skipper Frank Sinclair for the trip
to Wolves.
The former Chelsea defender played through the pain to help the Clarets
record only their second win of the season in the 3-0 victory over Ipswich
and has been unable to train since.
Fellow defender and on-loan Wolves prospect Keith Lowe is ruled out due to
the terms of his temporary move to the Clarets.
John McGreal (foot) is is doubtful after missing the midweek victory, while
the game is expected to come too soon for utility man Danny Karbassiyoon
(groin).
Wayne Thomas (knee) is out for the season and goalkeeper Danny Coyne may
also be forced to sit out the rest of the campaign with a serious knee
problem.
Three Players Extend Their Loans
Three of Wolves players
currently on loan, have had their loan period extended.
Chris Cornes has had his spell with Port Vale extended for a second month.
Keith Lowe's stay with tomorrow's opponents, Burnley, will now run until
December 13th. The defender will not be eligible to play against Wolves
tomorrow, under the terms of his loan agreement.
Paul Jones has also been allowed to stay at Millwall on loan for a further
month. The keeper is now due to return to Molineux on October 30th.

Match Reaction
Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle praised
his side's clinical finishing as they tore Crewe apart with four goals in 26
first half minutes.
Carl Cort and Kenny Miller scored two apiece as some slack Alex defending
allowed the visitors to run riot in this Coca-Cola Championship clash at
Gresty Road.
Hoddle said: "It was a
magnificent performance. In the first half Crewe didn't know what had hit
them.
"We came out like an express train and went 4-0 up very quickly.
"The way the team are playing at the moment it's a pleasure to watch
them.
"We have been clinical recently, and other than the goals we scored we
only had two real chances.
"When you are playing well, being as clinical as that is the icing on
the cake.
"One thing we have been guilty of in the past is not turning chances
into goals and killing teams off.
"We should have done that at Southampton on the opening day and didn't,
so maybe we are learning."
He continued: "We've had a good week with wins at Stoke and Crewe and
we need to cap it off by beating Burnley on Friday."

Crewe: manager Dario
Gradi insists he has total faith in goalkeeper Ben Williams following Ross
Turnbull's injury.
Turnbull, on loan from Middlesbrough, fought his way into the Alex
first-team after Williams' calf injury and kept his place but now faces four
weeks on the sidelines himself after picking up a knee injury.
Gradi admits it is a blow but having Williams available means it is not too
much of a headache.
Wolves: boss Glenn Hoddle
could welcome right-back Jackie McNamara back into the fray.
The Scotland international has missed the last two games with a slight groin
strain but should be fit along with Colin Cameron, who had picked up a knock
in training.
Hungarian defender Gabor Gyepes came through the full 90 minutes in the 3-1
win over Stoke without any problems after his dead leg.
Veteran midfielders Darren Anderton (shin) and Paul Ince (thigh) will still
be out along with Mark Clyde (ankle) and keeper Matt Murray (broken foot),
who are both a long way away from full fitness.
25th September 2005
Match Reaction
Wolves manager Glenn Hoddle
described his team's performance in the 3-1 win at Stoke as the best since
he took charge of the club.
And he warned league leaders Sheffield United they will not run away with
the Championship if Wanderers can reproduce this form on a consistent basis.
Hoddle said: "It was a magnificent performance by the boys. Stoke are a
good footballing team and this is a difficult place to come, but we have
played some tremendous stuff.
"It was the best display since I became manager and we will take some
stopping if we continue in that vein.
"We can't afford to let Sheffield United get too far ahead, but every
team has a wobble and we've got to get ourselves in pole position to step in
when they do."

Keeper Returning From Loan
Wolves keeper Paul Jones will
return to Molineux after Millwall's match with Cardiff on Saturday.
The 38-year-old joined on an initial month-long loan deal that Lions boss
Colin Lee was keen to extend, only to discover Millwall could not afford to
keep him.
"We can't afford to pay Paul the money we have paid him this
month," Lee explained.
"Wolves are not prepared to let him stay under our terms, so it looks
very unlikely that Paul will be staying.
"We are now trying to identify other goalkeepers because we need
back-up for Andy Marshall when Paul goes."
Team News
Stoke:
manager Johan Boskamp is hopeful of having strikers Mamady Sidibe and Hannes
Sigurdsson available.
Sidibe (hernia) and Sigurdsson (ankle) are both in training and could come
into contention, while record signing Sambegou Bangoura (hamstring) also has
a chance of featuring.
Defender John Halls (neck) is doubtful to face Glenn Hoddle's side and John
Eustace and Clint Hill remain long-term absentees.
Wolves:
Utility player Jackie McNamara will return to Wolves' squad for the trip to
Stoke.
McNamara was rested for the midweek Carling Cup defeat at Watford but is
expected to feature against the Potters, alongside Mark Kennedy who will
once more be asked to play through the discomfort of an Achilles injury.
Defender Gabor Gyepes could also play some part after making good progress
following a dead leg but Darren Anderton (shin) and Paul Ince (thigh) remain
sidelined.
Mark Clyde has yet to complete his recovery from an ankle operation and the
game will come too early for goalkeeper Matt Murray who has returned to
light training after surgery to repair a twice-broken foot.

Match Reaction
Boss Glenn Hoddle criticised his
team for lacking character after they lost 2-1 to Watford after extra time.
He said: "I was disappointed to have conceded two goals from set plays.
We haven't conceded many like that.
"But my overall concern was how we started well, dominated but in the
end were not good enough. It's unacceptable and I've told the players that.
"We have got to be stronger mentally and physically or we will become a
soft touch. None of my teams have been a soft touch and I won't let that
happen at Wolves.
"I am not going to stand here and defend them. Tonight I am questioning
my players.
"There were not enough men out there. We fell apart against a young
side.
"I'm finding out a lot about my players, about who has got character
and who hasn't. If they haven't they will be well and truly out of the
team."

Team News
Watford: Les Ferdinand
could make his debut in the Carling Cup tie at home to Wolves.
The 38-year-old striker has joined the club on non-contract terms and has a
chance of playing in the second-round clash as regular strikers Marlon King
and Darius Henderson are likely to be absent.
King, 25, has a hamstring injury but would not have been allowed to play
anyway under the terms of his loan deal from Nottingham Forest, while
24-year-old Henderson aggravated a thigh problem in the 3-2 home defeat by
Sheffield United on Saturday.
Henderson scored twice in that match but had missed the Hornets' previous
three games due to the injury.
Defender Malky Mackay, 33, begins a three-match suspension following his
sending-off against Sheffield United.
Wolves: utility player
Jackie McNamara is expected to be rested when Wolves meet Watford in the
Carling Cup at Vicarage Road.
A stomach-muscle injury has forced the Scot to sit out training sessions,
while Mark Kennedy continues to complain of Achilles tendon problems and
could also be excused duty.
Meanwhile, Darren Anderton is another who is expected to miss out thanks to
a shin injury while Paul Ince has yet to recover from thigh trouble.
A late decision will be made on whether Kenny Miller's hip injury has eased
sufficiently for the striker to be included in Wanderers' travelling party.
Mark Clyde has yet to complete his recovery from an ankle operation and
goalkeeper Matt Murray is only partially through his rehabilitation after
surgery to repair a twice-broken foot.
Lowe Loan Extended
Wolves defender Keith Lowe is to
spend a second month at Burnley after the 20-year-old's loan deal was
extended.
Lowe has already made five appearances after arriving at Turf Moor on an
initial one-month deal.
Manager Steve Cotterill has also confirmed Manchester City's Karl Bellingham
will remain at Burnley for a second month.
Cotterill said: "We've extended Karl's loan spell and we're going to be
extending Keith Lowe's too.
"We're thankful to Manchester City and Wolves for letting us do
that."
18th September 2005
Match Reaction
Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle said:
"It was huff and puff. We didn't have enough guile on the ball and if
teams are going to do that to us, we have to be better.
"I'm disappointed we've only got one point out of a possible six at
home this week. It was a very tight game and Leicester set their stall out
to stop us playing.
"But I'm not going to criticise the way other teams play. We're not
playing horrible football or playing disastrously, so we have to keep our
nerve and now go on the road and pick up some points.
"Don't ask me about good football and entertainment because we have
proved this season we are a good football side."

Wolves: midfielder Darren
Anderton has been ruled out of the Molineux clash after sustaining a shin
injury.
Anderton picked up the knock, which is expected to keep him on the sidelines
for three weeks, during Wanderers' 2-1 midweek defeat to Millwall.
Paul Ince is also certain to miss out as he has yet to recover from a torn
thigh muscle and striker Kenny Miller is struggling to regain fitness after
falling victim to a hip injury
Meanwhile, Mark Clyde has yet to complete his recovery from an ankle
operation and goalkeeper Matt Murray is only partially through his
rehabilitation after surgery to repair a twice-broken foot.
But Mark Kennedy will once again be asked to play through the discomfort of
an Achilles tendon problem.
Leicester: midfielder Gareth
Williams has been declared fit to face Wolves at Molineux after recovering
from a hamstring problem.
Williams had been forced to limp out of the 1-0 midweek defeat to Cardiff at
Ninian Park but has now been given the thumbs up to face Wanderers although
Danny Tiatto, who has been plagued by hamstring troubles of his own this
season, remains extremely doubtful.
Defender Patrik Gerrbrand will also be missing because the Swede has yet to
recover from an ankle knock.
Meanwhile, leg-break victim James Wesolowski remains on the casualty list
alongside winger Lee Morris who underwent knee cartilage surgery.
15th September 2005
Anderton Injury Update
Midfielder Darren Anderton has
been ruled out of action for at least three weeks with the shin injury he
picked up during Millwall match.
Wolves are looking to bring in a midfielder on a short-term loan, as Paul
Ince is still weeks away from returning to full fitness with a thigh
problem, .
Boss Glenn Hoddle explained on WOW:
"Darren's injury is bad news for us. He picked up the ball on the edge
of the box, turned and ran into a Millwall player. That's something you
can't legislate for.
"Paul is not close to a comeback. He needs more treatment and will
probably need a couple of reserve games before he can be considered.
"Mark Kennedy is also carrying a slight Achilles problem and won't
train today.
"Gabor Gyepes and Jackie McNamara can both play in midfield but we are
looking to bring someone in on a short-term loan. But that's unlikely to
happen before the weekend.
"At this level a lot of balls have got to fall into the right places
for you to get a player you want short term.
"We are looking at the Premiership so players have got to fancy
dropping down to the Championship and getting first team football rather
than playing in the reserves.
"Some players might want that but others might prefer to stay where
they are and fight for their places."
Reserves Lose
Wolves reserves lost 1-0 to
Liverpool at Wrexham yesterday.
The only goal of the game was
scored inn the 31st minute, Barragan slammed the ball home from just inside
the box after a through ball from Darren Potter.
Liverpool Reserves:
Willis, Raven (Godwin 69), Whitbread, Roque-Farrero, O'Donnell, Peltier,
Barragan, Mannix, Calliste, Idrizaj (Hobbs 71), Potter (Guthrie 58).
Unused Subs: Roberts, Hammill.

Rachael Receives Honour
Wolves has appointed Rachael
Heyhoe Flint MBE as its new Life Vice-President. Rachael fills the honorary
role left vacant by the death of Jack Harris last January.
Former England women's cricket captain Rachael has worked at Molineux in a
community PR capacity since the Haywards took charge of Wolves in 1990. She
was appointed to the board of directors in September 1997 and retired from
that post in January 2004.
The move was announced by club
Chairman Rick Hayward. He said on WOW:
"Rachael has been a great servant to Wolves and to the City and this is
our way of thanking her for being such a marvellous ambassador for
Wolverhampton. She has a seat in the directors' box for life and will always
be a special member of the Wolves family."
Club President Sir Jack Hayward added: "Rachael has worked hard for
Wolves over many years and fully deserves this honour."
Rachael Heyhoe Flint said:
"Good things always happen in threes. This week I became a grandmother
for the first time, England won the Ashes and now this!
"I am really thrilled and want to thank Rick very much. I am
particularly honoured to be following in the footsteps of the late dear
departed Jack Harris.
"I will always be here to help the club and the wider community where I
can."
Match Reaction
Glenn Hoddle slammed his side
for "a lack of professionalism" after they surrendered their 100%
home record this season and their unbeaten home record since he assumed full
control last year.
"The game lasts 90-plus minutes and we've had our pockets picked and
it's not a good feeling," he said.
"We've got to show a little more character than that and a little more
resilience to beat teams. We've got to take our opportunities to win the
match and that will be our downfall this season."
Hoddle refused to use Darren
Anderton's departure moments before Millwall's equaliser as an excuse for
his side's collapse and laid into his players for failing to take even a
point.
"I don't think that can be an excuse," he said. "It was a
lack of professionalism. If you can't get the full bar you have to take half
a bar sometimes.
"We lacked character in the second half. We've got to put that
right."
Hoddle is optimistic former
England international Anderton, who left Molineux on crutches after
suffering heavy bruising, will recover in time for the weekend.
"We don't think it's going to be a major, major injury," he added.

Team News
Wolves: striker Kenny
Miller is rated doubtful for the clash with Millwall at Molineux.
Miller picked up a hip injury while on international duty with Scotland last
week and then aggravated the problem during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Luton.
Goalkeeper Michael Oakes, who sustained a 12-inch gash around the knee, is
another who will face a late fitness test after being given a 50-50 chance
of playing.
Meanwhile, the thigh injury afflicting Paul Ince means the combative
midfielder is also struggling for fitness.
Mark Clyde remains sidelined after ankle surgery and goalkeeper Matt Murray
has yet to complete his rehabilitation after an operation to repair a
twice-broken foot.
Millwall: Adrian Williams is set
to make his debut at former club Wolves.
The 34-year-old defender has joined the bottom-of-the-table Lions for three
months under the 'emergency' loan system.
Lions manager Colin Lee believes young centre-backs Paul Robinson and Mark
Phillips are struggling and one of them will almost certainly be replaced by
the former Wales international.
Lee could also have striker Carl Asaba available again for the match at
Molineux.
The 32-year-old striker - a recent free-transfer signing from Stoke - has
missed the Lions' last two matches with a hamstring injury but is responding
to treatment.

Lescott Player Of The Month
Wolves defender Joleon Lescott
has won the August Powerade Player of the Month Award in the Coca-Cola
Championship.
He won the award for his contribution to helping Wolves keep three clean
sheets in August and his last minute equaliser against Cardiff City.
Match Reaction
Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle was
pleased with the draw against a team who play with little width on their
narrow pitch.
"It's a good point in the context of the 90 minutes," Glenn Hoddle
said.
"We knew they were going to be tight on us, they work that to their
favour.
"I thought our back four stuck to their task well, as did Oaker
(Michael Oakes) in goal, we allowed them to put too many balls in our box
but we dealt with them."

Team News
Luton: Striker Steve
Howard is available again for their home match against Wolves.
The 29-year-old has completed a three-match suspension, but Luton have won
the games he has missed and boss Mike Newell could stick with the forward
line of Warren Feeney and Enoch Showunmi.
Right-back Kevin Foley is doubtful after picking up a knock in training with
the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad.
Chris Coyne should partner Markus Heikkinen in central defence in the
absence of Curtis Davies, who was sold to West Brom for £3million on August
31.
Wolves: boss Glenn Hoddle
is sweating over the fitness of striker Kenny Miller.
The Molineux frontman has fallen victim to a hip injury sustained after he
scored both Scotland's goals in their 2-1 World Cup qualification victory
over Norway in Oslo on Wednesday night.
Midfield general Paul Ince is sure to miss out against the Hatters thanks to
a torn thigh muscle and there are doubts over winger Mark Kennedy's
involvement as he continues to be dogged by Achilles tendon niggles.
Midfielder Darren Anderton is another who has has reported a thigh injury
but should make the travelling party alongside Jody Craddock who is back
from a calf problem.
Mark Clyde remains sidelined after ankle surgery and goalkeeper Matt Murray
has yet to complete his recovery from an operation to repair a twice-broken
foot.
Miller Contract Talks
Wolves have opened negotiations
about extending transfer-listed striker Kenny Miller's contract.
The 25-year-old Scottish forward was the subject of two failed bids from
Premiership side Sunderland this summer and his current deal runs out at the
end of the season.
Miller has scored four goals in his last three games for Scotland, leading
to more speculation about his future.
But boss Glenn Hoddle told WOW: "We're looking to keep him here. We are
talking to his people."
Miller has been available for transfer at his own request since last year.

International Injuries Update
Boss Glenn Hoddle is waiting for
news from Wolves medical staff after Kenny Miller checked in for treatment
this afternoon.
Shortly after he scored his two goals he was forced to come off with a hip
injury, which sparked fears back at Molineux that he might be missing for
the weekend's trip to Luton.
Gabor Gyepes played for Hungary but Wolves haven't heard of how he is at the
moment. Rob Edwards played 45 minutes for Wales and he came out of the match
fine.

Murray Injury Update
Wolves injury-hit keeper Matt
Murray will have to wait until he has a scan on the 21st September to
determine whether he can resume full training.
24 year old Murray has only made four appearances in the past two seasons
and is currently doing restricted training while recovering from a foot
injury.
He said on WOW:
"I'm climbing the walls in there!" he groans. "I'm allowed
out two or three times a week to train with Bobby (Mimms) and the boys. It's
my treat!
"But I'm gradually getting back into the swing of things now. I'm doing
the same work as the other lads with the exception of crosses. My surgeon
doesn't want me to do those until after my scan later this month.
"Hopefully then I'll really be able to push on do full sessions."

Cup qualifier against Italy at Hampden Park, but the match finished one all,

Jackie McNamara played as well for Scotland, but at left-back rather than on
the right as he has been doing for Wolves.

both unused substitutes at the Millennium Stadium as England beat Wales
thanks to Joe Coles' 54th minute goal.
18-year-old keeper Wayne
Hennessey made his second appearance for the Welsh under 21s, against
England on Friday evening at Wrexham.

Defender Chooses Burnley
20-year-old defender Duane
Courtney rejected Wolves to join the Clarets.
He completed his move from Conference club Telford on transfer deadline day,
signing a two-year deal at Turf Moor.
The greater chance of first-team football at Burnley was why he turned down
the switch to Molineux.
